HELEN HALL

COLUMBUS — Helen Jean (Amerson) Hall, 70, departed this life unexpectedly on Thursday, December 18, 2013.

She was born to the late Reverend Major and Rosa Bell (Flemon) Amerson in Belzoni, Mississippi; raised in Lima and lived in Columbus. She attended Perry Schools and graduated from Lima Senior High. Helen was actively working at The Ohio State University Hospital East, greeting so many at the front desk for over 12 years. She was a member of New Birth Christian Ministries.

Helen is preceded in death by John Hall with whom she shared over 30 years of holy matrimony. Helen is preceded in death by grandson, De'Angelo Hall and brother-in-law, Phillip Henderson.

She leaves to cherish her memory: son, Ricky Hall; daughters,Terri Hall, Shanese Hall; Kimberly (son-in-love Marlin) Black, Regina Hall and step daughter Darlene (Charles) Alston, all of Columbus; one brother, Major Amerson Jr. (Kathleen) of Lima; and six sisters, Margaret (Jerry) Jenkins of Texas, Catherine Lindsey of Illinois; Geraldine (Robert) Spivey, Patsy Henderson, Loretta (Jimmie) Tolbert, all of Lima and Rosetta Amerson of Columbus. Helen is also survived by 19 grandchildren, 11 great-grandchildren and a host of nieces and nephews.

Homegoing Services 11:00 a.m., Monday, December 23, 2013 at New Birth Christian Ministries, 3475 Refugee Rd. where the family will receive friends from 10:00 a.m. until time of service. Bishop Kenneth E. Moore, Sr., officiating. Interment in Glen Rest Memorial Estate.
