Obituary for Jean Anne (Boyed) Prine

Jean Anne (Boyed) Prine
was called to her heavenly home on June 7, 2015. She died as she had lived, with courage, dignity and surrounded by loving family who will miss her constant unconditional love and support in their daily life.

Jean was born August 23, 1943 in Lima, Ohio to Ray and Hazel Boyed and had two brothers, Bill (Karen) Boyed, Jim (Jeannie) Boyed, and two sisters Kay (Tim) Andrews and Betty (Denny) Pierce. The family was blessed to be raised by loving parents and all of our children benefited from years of being together. We spent many years camping at Lake Amanda where family, food and fun filled our days, and campfires and conversation our nights.

Jean graduated in 1961 from Lima Senior High School, worked several years at Wells Department Store and later for the Lima City Schools in the cafeteria. Seldom did she go shopping or to the grocery that a former student didn’t call to her and remember her kindness as she served them their school lunch.

She was married to Lance Prine who has preceded her in death and they were blessed to have had two sons Scott (Lisa) and Robert (Ashley). Her sons were the crowning glory in her life and her love for them was only intensified when they gifted she and Lance with three grandsons, Nathan and Alex born to Scott and Lisa, and Zayne born to Bob and Ashley. The boys will miss her kind gentle presence in their lives, but those of us who loved her dedicate ourselves to maintaining her memory in their hearts as they grow into the men they are meant to be.

Jean touched the heart of everyone who knew her, and most especially her family of aunts and uncles, cousins, and all of her nieces and nephews. There are none who would not count her as one of the most caring, selfless, gentle people in their lives. We will all struggle with our loss and will heal, only as a tribute to her last wish for us all.

Visitation will be from 2:00 P.M. to 3:00 P.M. at Chamberlain-Huckeriede Funeral Home.

Friends are welcome to celebrate her life with her family at Chamberlain-Huckeriede Funeral Home on Tuesday, June 9, 2015 at 3:00 P.M. The family would invite friends to come as they are.

In lieu of flowers or donations Jean would have wanted for families to spend time with one another.
