Peggy ChilesClemans, 68, died at noon Aug. 25, 2011, at Lima Convalescent Home. She was born June 13, 1943, in Lima to Russell M. and Mary Louise Allgier Chiles, who preceded her in death. Mrs. Clemans retired as an office manager from Hub Scott Associates, Houston, Texas. Before moving to Houston, she managed apartment complexes in West Lake Village, Calif., and Phoenix, and taught music in Lake Charles, La. She was a member of Lima First Baptist Church. She was a 1961 graduate of Lima Senior High School and received her bachelor's and master's degrees in music from Ohio University, Athens. Survivors include a brother, James R. "Jim" (Betsy) Chiles, of Lima; a sister, Nancy J. Davenport, of Lima; seven nieces, Debra (Jim Dove) Collier, Pamela (Corey Houseworth) Davenport, Lynda (Brent) Rice, Barbara (Roy) Terwilliger, Bethany (Scott) Torbet, Catherine (David) Fisher and Stephanie (Phil) Beauvais; and six great-nieces, 11 great-nephews and a great-great-nephew. Services will begin at 3 p.m. Sunday at Chiles-Laman Funeral & Cremation Services, Shawnee Chapel. The Rev. Rob White will officiate. Burial will be at 10 a.m. Monday in Woodlawn Cemetery.
