LIMA — Carolyn S. Pratt, age 73, was called into the presence of the Lord at 6:25 pm on January 11, 2017 at the Lima Memorial Hospital. Carolyn was born March 19, 1943 in Lima, to the late Harold E. and Jewell (Foley) Hammons. On August 27, 1962 she married Roger E. Carolyn worked as a bookkeeper for many years at Easter Tire Company before becoming the co-owner with her husband of Clem's Bakery. She loved attending her grandchildren's sporting events, baking for her grandchildren, shopping and spending time with her many cousins. Carolyn was an exceptional pianist and organist, having been self taught, she loved playing at the First Assembly of God Church, and with the Senior Citizens Choir. After retiring from Clem's Bakery, Carolyn kept busy volunteering over 2,000 hours for Lima Memorial Hospital, and traveling with her sisters and their husbands.

She was blessed with two children, Kelli S. (Ron) Zimmerly of Bellefontaine and Jeffrey E. (Kelly) Pratt of Lima, grandchildren; Michael (Tiffany) Hemmert of Galloway, Ryan (Kristen) Hemmert of Bellefontaine, Nicholas (Olivia) Pratt of Brooklyn and Kaitlyn Pratt of Lima; Carter Pratt who preceded her in death and a great-granddaughter, Rhys Hemmert.

So sorry to hear of the death of Carolyn Hammond Pratt.  We were very close in High School, singing together in The Youth For Christ trio & school choirs.  She had a heart of gold;  never an enemy.  God was a great part of her life.  Rest with God, Carolyn.
