FINDLAY — Linda F. (Hinds) Smith, age 75, of Findlay, passed away on February 3, 2019 at Birchhaven in Hospice care with her loving family around her.
Linda was born on April 13, 1943 in Lima, OH, to the late Henry and Della (Brown) Hinds. She was a 1961 graduate of Lima Senior High. She married Rodney J. Smith on May 22, 1970, and he survives in Findlay. Also surviving are her daughter Shelley (Jeremy) Smith of Columbus and son Ryan Smith (Ryan Richardson) of Toledo; two grandchildren, Anthony and Aubrey, and two great grand children. three sisters-in-law Rosemary Hinds of Bradenton, FL, Mary Hinds of Plainwell, MI, and Lois Hinds of Lima. Linda was preceded in death by two sisters, Mary Louise Hinds and Norma Jean Watson, and three brothers, Henry, James, and Wayne Hinds. She is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
Linda first began working at Marathon Oil Company in 1966, left there to join her husband at Fort Bragg, NC in 1970, returned to Findlay and Marathon employment in 1972, retiring in August 2007.
She was a wonderful loving, caring wife, mother, grandmother and great grandmother.

Visitation will be Friday, February 8th from 2pm until 7pm at COLDREN-CRATES FUNERAL HOME in Findlay. A memorial service will be held at 11 am on Saturday, Feb 9th at St. Mark's United Methodist church at the corner of Lima and Main with Pastor Dan Metzger officiating. Interment will be private.
