I went to senior prom with Art and what a gentleman he was. I always have sweet memories of that time. I looked for him at the 50th reunion, but he didn't come. I'm sorry I missed seeing him.

Yes, Burl was very nice.  I remember him from Irving School.  He was a friend of Marc Rone.  It is always sad to hear of the passing of our schoolmates.

WAPAKONETA – ART KOHLI

Art Kohli, age 72 of Wapakoneta, died at 10:56pm May 12, 2016 at Wapak Manor with family by his side.

He was born September 11, 1943 in Lima, Ohio; to the late Burl and Mary Scott Kohli

Art was an estimator and owner of Tri State Flooring and Ceiling, His hobbies included fishing, golfing, motorcycling, traveling and having a fun time with friends. He loved his animals and playing cards with good friends Knox and Joanne Maney. He was a member of the Eagles Lodge #370, the Moose Lodge #199, and a life member of the Elks Lodge #54, all of Lima

Survivors include the love of his life and best friend – Marti Smiley of Wapakeoneta; a brother, David (Shirley) Kohli of Lima; 2 special nieces, Carole (Todd) Jones of Elida; Carmen Boese of Lima; a nephew, Keith Kohli of Indiana; and several nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by a sister and her husband, Susan (David) Llewellyn and a nephew, David LR Henige, Jr.

A celebration of Art’s life will begin at 5:00pm Sunday May 15, 2016 at Bayliff & Son Funeral Home, Cridersville. The family will receive friends from 1-5pm Sunday at the funeral home. Memorial contributions may be made to St Rita’s Hospice, or the Humane Society of donor’s choice. Condolences may be shared at www.bayliffandson.com
