LimaD. Dawain Pratt, 68, of Montrose, Colo., formerly of Lima, died March 13, 2012, in Montrose from complications of Lou Gehrig’s disease.He was born to John Pratt and Thelma Dysert Miller, who preceded him in death. His wife, Judy Pratt, survives.Mr. Pratt was a 1961 graduate of Lima Senior High School. He was a Navy veteran, serving from 1961 to 1963, serving as a fire technician control third class aboard the USS Canisteo (AO-99). He received his master’s degree in theology from Bartlesville Wesleyan College in Oklahoma. He ministered in Kansas and Colorado. Following his retirement from the ministry, he taught elementary school in Kansas and Colorado.Survivors also include two sons, Brad and Brandon; four grandchildren; a brother, Merle; and a sister, Jane.He was preceded in death by a brother, Kenneth.
