Bertie was a friend all our childhood and adult life.  I will miss her sending me old pictures of us growing up and remembering all the things that I've forgotten. If you were friends with Bertie(as we always called her), you had a friend for life.  Rest in Heaven dear friend. You will be missed.

BERTA WALKER

LIMA — Mrs. Berta Dell Walker, age 73, went home to be with the Lord on Sunday, August 14, 2016 at approximately 10:35 a.m. at Lima Memorial Health Systems.

She was born on May 31, 1943 to the union of Willie Lee and Lillie Mae (Fleming) Pugh; both parents preceded her in death.

On July 2, 1986 she was untied in holy matrimony to Mr. Algie L. Walker who survives in Lima.

Mrs. Walker retired from Ford Motor Company after many years of service. She loved to travel and shopping at the Eastside Walmart. She enjoyed all sports especially ones involving Ohio State, Dallas Cowboys and the Cleveland Cavaliers. Mrs. Walker served as a Board Member on the Allen County Council on Aging.

Besides her loving husband Algie, she leaves to cherish her precious memory 2 sons; Darwin Crawford of Lima and Shawn L. Crawford of Sidney, OH. A daughter; Constance R. Crawford of Atlanta, GA. 12 grandchildren and 10 great-grandchildren. 2 brothers; Preston Pugh (Elmira) and Arthur Pugh (Linda) both of Lima. A sister; Marvis Bowman (Raymond) of Dayton, OH.

She was preceded in death a daughter; Sabrina Williams and a sister; Ruby Roberson.

Home going services will be held on Saturday, August 20, 2016 at 10:00 a.m. at the Chapel of Jones-Clark Funeral Home, Inc. with Rev. Cleven Jones, officiating.

Memorial contributions can be made to the Allen County Council on Aging.

Interment: Woodlawn Cemetery
