He was born July 15, 1943in Lima to Ray Robert and Hilda Mabel Virtue Sipes. On August 14, 1969 he married June E Whitesell who survives
Other survivors are two sons, Chris (Melissa) Sipes, Neptune, and Ian Sipes, Neptune; a daughter, Gina (Jeremiah) Schaeffer, Dixon Missouri; a brother, Ronald D Sipes, Lima; eight grandchildren; and a great grandchild
Deceased is a sister, Sherry Ann Pratt.
He was a 1961 graduate of Lima Senior High School. He received a Bachelor of Science degree in administration and a Master of Science degree in education at Bethel College, a Bachelor of Science degree in nursing from Wright state University, and a doctorate of philosophy in clinical hypnotherapy at American International University.
He retired from Golden Valley Living Center after many years of service in the medical field. He was a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, St Marys
Services are 11am Saturday at Cisco Funeral Home, St Marys. Michael Bissegger officiating. Burial is at Resthaven Memory Gardens, St Marys. Calling is 9-11am Saturday at the funeral home.
