GEORGE E DAVIS, JR, 59, of Davie Florida, formerly of Lima, died December 22, 2002 at Vitas Hospice, Hollywood, Florida.
He was born August 25, 1943 in Lima to George F Davis Sr and Marjorie Sharp Davis Thompson, who preceded him in death. His stepfather, Ron W Thompson survives in Rocky River. He had been married to Rita Flores Davis, who survives in San Antonio. He had also been married to Carolyn Smith Davis Blogdurn, who survives in Florida. He married Kathy Welch, who survives in Davie, Florida.
Mr. Davis had worked at WKTN radio station in Kenton in 1961. He was an Air Force veteran serving in San Antonio and Adak, Alaska. He enjoyed fishing, golf and traveling. He had lived in Davie Florida for the last 20 years.
Survivors also include a son, George F “Chip” Davis III of San Antonio; a daughter, Penny Davis of Lake Ariel PA; a brother, Jeff Davis of Sidney; a sister, Jacqueline “Jackie” (Larry) Cotner of Lima; and a granddaughter Courtney Davis of San Antonio.
Services were held December 28, 2002, in Davie Florida with military rites. Memorial contributions may be made to Vitas Hospice, Memorial Hospital Pembroke, 7800 Sheridan St, 3 East, Hollywood Florida 33024. Arrangements were by Fred Hunter Funeral Home, 2401 S University Drive, Davie Florida
