Kenneth W. Hardesty, age 65 of Lima died 11:15 p.m., Thursday, June 4, 2009 in Richland Manor.
He was born July 8, 1943 in Lima to Byron T. and Ruth L. (Parr) Hardesty. Both parents are deceased. On May 12, 1973 he married Ruth C. Konkle who survives.
Mr. Hardesty was a retired Attorney at Law. He graduated from Lima Senior High School in 1961, received his BA degree from Wheaton College and his JD degree from Ohio State University, School of Law.
He was a member of market Street Presbyterian Church, the Allen County Bar Association, the Allen County Republican Party Central Committee, the Columbus Grove Lions Club, the Lima Junior Chamber of Commerce, the Allen County Young Republicans and had been active in Our Daily Bread. He served in the U. S. Army in the Vietnam Era.
Additional survivors include 1 daughter, Elizabeth C. Hardesty of Houston, TX 1 brother, Richard (Linda) Hardesty of Vermillion, OH and 1 sister, Nancy A. Hardesty of Greenville, SC.
Funeral services will begin 11:00 a.m., Monday, June 8, 2009 I Bayliff & Son Funeral Home, Cridersville. Burial will follow in Shawnee Cemetery.
The family will receive friends at the funeral home from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m., Sunday.
Military graveside rites will be conducted by V.F.W. Post 1275 of Lima.
Memorial contributions may be given to Market Street Presbyterian Church.
