Herbert “Lynn” McCluer, 57, died at 7:32pm February 8, 2001, at St Rita’s Medical Center.
He was born February 18, 1943 in Lima to Herbert and Vivetta Garver McCLUER. On December 6, 1963, he married Connie Herold, who survives.
Mr. McCluer retired from West Ohio Gas Company and was working at Flexible Foam, Spencerville. He was a member of St Gerard Catholic Church. He was a member of Fraternal Order of Eagles Aerie 370 and Loyal Order of Moose Lodge 1533, Indian Lake. He was an Army veteran.
Survivors also include three sons, Kyle L (Sherrie) McCluer of Bradner, Troy A (Bonnie) McCluer of Columbus Grove and Chad M McCluer of Lima; two brothers, James McCluer of Lima and David McCluer of Elida; five sisters, Shirley McBeth and Jackie Lyons, both of Elida, Sharon Weldy of Lima, Debbie Urban of Dyersburg Tennessee and Beverly Wilges of Cridersville; and seven grandchildren
Mass of Christian Burial will begin at 10am Monday at St Gerard Catholic Church. Burial will be in Gethsemani Cemetery. Friends may call from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 today and Sunday at Chamberlain-Huckeriede Funeral Home, where a parish wake service will be held at 8pm Sunday. Memorial contributions may be made to the family.
