Viola Mae “Sweetie” Pitts, 66, died at 5:45pm August 24, 2010 at St Rita’s Medical Center.
She was born October 14, 1943 in Hurtsboro Alabama to Booker T and Viola Allen Pitts, who preceded her in death.
Miss Pitts had worked at RCA Corporation. She was a member of Philippian Missionary Baptist Church.
Survivors include two sons, Gregory (Daphne) Pitts, of Miami, and Bernard J Pitts, of Lima; seven Grandchildren; a brother , Jerry O Pitts, of Lima; and two sisters, Josie M (Will C. Jr) Thomas, of Columbus, and Joselyn (Phillip)Simpson of Lima.
Services will begin at 1pm Tuesday at Philippian Missionary Baptist Church. Dr B LaMont Monford Sr will officiate. Burial will be in Woodlawn Cemetery. Friends may call from 4 to 8pm Monday at Jones-Clark Funeral Home, where the family will be present from 6 to 8pm. Condolences may be sent to Jonesclarkfh@aol.com
