So sorry to see that Jim has passed on.... We had such good times in High School... I will always remember that Laugh he had.... When you heard it , you knew it was Jim Ponds.....
Lima – James Gordon Pond, 67, of Abingdon, Va., formerly of Lima, died May 7, 2010, in Abingdon.
He was born Jan. 17, 1943, in Lima to John and Lola Kidd Pond, who preceded him in death. His wife of 22 years, Geneva Pond, survives.
Mr. Pond had lived in Abingdon, Va., since 1976. He was an outdoorsman, who was an avid hunter and fisherman. He loved his family and friends. He was an organ donor.
Survivors also include a daughter, Kim Pond-Madigan, of Elmhurst, Ill.; a granddaughter, Kayla Ann Madigan; and a sister, Pam (Bruce) Gander, of Celina.
Services were held Monday at Farris Funeral Service, Abingdon, Va.
