Michael E Schwartz, 64, died at 11:58pm March 1, 2006 at the Cleveland Clinic.
He was born February 6, 1942 in Lima to Emmanuel and Eunice Chambers Schwartz, who preceded him in death. On March 6, 2005, he married Debra Watercutter, who survives in Lima. He married Judith Perrine on May 20, 1967, and she died October 15, 2001.
Mr. Schwartz worked at the Ford Lima Engine Plant, retiring in 2002. He attended South Side Christian Church and was a member of the Fraternal Order of Eagles Aerie 370. He was a Marine Corps veteran, and retired from the Army in 2002.
Survivors also include three children, Pamela R (John) Filkins of Findlay, Michael J (Emma) Schwartz of Lima and Jeremy J Schwartz of Lima; two stepchildren, Angela (Jake) Campana of Cortland, and Ashley Watercutter of Lima; seven grandchildren, Julia, John, Abigail, James, Joshua, Jacob and Justin; three step grandchildren, Emily, Abbie and Kaetlin; and a cat, Spanky.
Services will begin at 11am Monday at Siferd Funeral Home, Westwood chapel. The Rev Douglas Adams will officiate. Burial will be in Gethsemani Cemetery, with military rights by Veterans of Foreign Wars Post 1275. Friends may call from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8pm Sunday at the funeral home. Memorial contributions may be made to the American Lung association.
