Joe M Swick, 66, died at 9:00am February 21, 2010 at his residence
He was born July 15, 1943 in Lima to Coie and Helen “Jeanne” Bennett Swick who preceded him in death. His stepfather Gene Wolford, survives in McComb. On July 12, 1980 he married Dorothy L Mcpheron Gould who survives in Lima.
Mr. Swick retired as an oiler from Dana Corporation after 30 years. He was a member of Sabres Gun Club and United Auto Workers Local 1765.
Survivors also include four daughters, Tonya (Dan) Weaver of Wapakoneta, Kris (Bill Beall of McComb and Tami (Eric) Schimmoeller and Sherri (Keith) Wiechard both of Lima; a son Marc (Kim) Gould of Lima; a brother, Steven B (Linda) Swick of Lima; two sisters, Julia (Tom Golden and Beckie (Ed) Deubler both of Lima; and 14 grandchildren, Jerod Bush of Columbus, Erica, Justin, Eliza and Brady Coie Schimmoeller, Shelby (Brian) Marsteller and Kaitlin and Krystina Knerr all of Lima, Alex, Allison and Andy Beall all of Mccomb and Elijah, Ian and Grace Gould of Lima
He was preceded in death by an infant brother, Timothy Swick; father and mother-in-law, Wesley and Ruth McPheron; and a grandson, Austin Beall
Services begin at noon today at Cridersville Independent Baptist Church, Cridersville The Rev Eddie Wireman will officiate. Burial will be in Bluelick Cemetery, Lima Memorial contributions may be made to Cridersville Independent Baptist church.
